Acceptance of yourself is far more important than acceptance from others.

Requirement of self- acceptance 
We are in the world of constant comparison with others to improve and prove our worth.
So it becomes difficult to accept as we are but our inner critic makes a judgement that we are not good enough and we need to improve more all the time. That can be a problem because we need to be happy and feel satisfied with life.
